For a week, 100 monuments will be illuminated as India begins its G20 presidency

Today is a great day for us Indian people as today we will start our presidential run for G20 which will start today on December 1, 2022 and will be continued till December 30, 2023.

Just for you to know, G20 comprises of 20 countries, some of these countries are highly developed like Italy and Japan while a few other countries are in their developing period like India.

Because India is starting its presidency run,

For seven days from December 1 to 7, 100 monuments, including world heritage sites listed on the UNESCO World Heritage List and Srinagar’s Shankaracharya temple, and Delhi’s Red Fort will be lit up with the G-20 logo.

There are a number of objectives India has set for next year’s Summit, including the provision of affordable technology for sustainable environmental development, as well as focusing on India’s digital transformation.

G20 was founded back in 1999 by the Finance Ministers and Central Bank Governors of the G-20 countries as a forum for discussing macro-economic and financial issues related to globalization and the global financial system.

As part of the Group of Twenty (G-20), 19 countries (Argentina, Australia, Brazil, Canada, China, France, Germany, India, Indonesia, Italy, Japan, Republic of Korea, Mexico, Russia, Saudi Arabia, South Africa, Turkiye, United Kingdom, and the United States) and the European Union comprise the group.
