Meta to cut 13% of their workforce

One of the largest tech companies in the world, Meta INC is set to cut 11,000 people from their workforce. Just a year back we have heard the news of Facebook’s (the head organization) name getting changed to Meta. When we heard that we all thought that with the changing of the name, Meta Inc will introduce some new missions and therefore will hire new members in bulk to fulfil their mission. But after one year, the whole scenario has been changed.

Meta has declared that soon they will be laying off 11,000 people from their workforce which equals to 13% of their workforce. The reason they are giving for this is that their stock prices has fallen down and to cope up with that they don’t have any other choice except to lay off its employees. This is another shocking piece of news after Twitter’s lay-off.
